The World Bank Group’s Climate Change Knowledge Portal (CCKP) is a hub for climate-related information, data, and tools.

It provides access to the comprehensive global, region, and country information on historical and future climate, vulnerabilities and impacts for development practitioners and policymakers.

“The successful integration of scientific information in decision making often depends on the use of flexible frameworks, data, and tools that can provide comprehensive information to a wide range of users, allowing them to evaluate how to apply the scientific information to the design of a project or policy.”

What’s in it for users of CCKP?

  • Learn about climate and climate-related datasets at the global, regional, and country-level.
  • Enhance knowledge on climate change-related topics, including exposure, vulnerability, sectoral impacts, and adaptation options.
  • Assess, visualize, and download resourceful climate data and information

The site shows a global map that allows you to select by country, region, and watershed for fast and easy access to climate data and information.

The site provides a climate risk and adaptation profile on each country, compiled in a pdf form that contains a country overview, key sectoral impacts of climate change (agriculture and livestock, water resources, coastal systems, human health, and ecosystems), research and information gaps.

Users can access the Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Profiles for an overview of each countries agricultural challenges and how CSA can help them implement climate adaptation and mitigation strategies.
