The infographic “Climate Finance 2018” that the Asian Development Bank published on 20 March 2019 revealed its commitment to financing climate change-related projects between 2019 and 2030.
ADB assures that at least 75 per cent will be allocated to climate adaptation and mitigation developments.
The investments will go to cleaner technology, green infrastructure, and transition into low-carbon industries.
Climate funds will cover the following sectors: Energy, which will account for 41% of the funding, followed by transportation at 22%, Water at 16%, Agriculture at 13%, Finance at 5%, and other sectors such as education and health at 2%.
