Climate Week NYC 2020 Held

As of writing, Climate Week NYC 2020, the most prominent climate summit this year that The Climate Group is hosting, is being held from 21-27 September.  The conference focuses on the pursuit of a net-zero future through the transition.

One can view all of them on the Facebook Watch page throughout the weeklong summit. It features speakers from the government, business, campaign groups, scientists, and economists.

“The Climate Group will host all our events, including the Opening Ceremony and the Hub Live, on an online digital platform incorporating live broadcast, interactive sessions, networking areas and meeting space. We will also support the hundreds of events hosted across New York City and worldwide as part of the official Climate Week NYC events program.”

Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, the Climate Week program will constitute digital events worldwide and accept participation from other climate-related events to join.

The events are grouped into ten themes:

3. Industry and Built Environment
4. Finance, Investment and Jobs 
5. Food and Land Use 
6. Nature and Science 
7. US and International Policy  
8. Youth, Public Mobilization and Justice  
9. Sustainable Travel and Tourism   
10. Climate Impacts and Adaptation
