National Lifeline Utilities Forum 2023: Rebuilding a more resilient Aotearoa
October 25, 2023 @ 8:00 AM - October 27, 2023 @ 5:00 PM
The New Zealand Lifelines Council (NZLC) Forum will be held at Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington on the 26th and 27th of October 2023.
This year’s forum will focus on changing national critical infrastructure policies, the impacts and ongoing recovery related to the Te Ika-a-Māui North Island severe weather events, and opportunities to create a more resilient future.
As always, the Forum will allow attendees to keep up-to-speed with infrastructure and hazard resilience developments, discuss how the changes will affect you and your organisation, and most importantly, network with others with similar passions for our infrastructure and communities.
There are also options for complementary pre-Forum tours on the afternoon of 25th October, subject to availability/sufficient registrations.
This Forum brings together people delivering infrastructure resilience to discuss the latest developments and opportunities. We welcome attendees from critical infrastructure organisations (lifeline utilities and critical customers), regional Lifelines Groups, CDEM Sector, research agencies and others working to improve New Zealand’s infrastructure resilience and the wellbeing of our communities.
Registrations are required by 30th September. Click the link for more information and to register.

About New Zealand Lifelines Council
The NZLC’s mission connects lifeline utility organisations across agency and sector boundaries to improve infrastructure resilience.
It has two major activities, including organising a yearly National Lifeline Utilities Forum every October or November and publishing the National Infrastructure Vulnerability Assessment every three years. The first one was produced in 2017 and updated in 2020, and this year’s edition updates all sections of the report.
The New Zealand Lifelines Council is proud to release the 2023 edition of the Aotearoa-New Zealand Critical Infrastructure: A National Infrastructure Vulnerability Assessment 2023. The report provides a comprehensive overview of New Zealand’s critical lifelines infrastructure and its resilience (and conversely its vulnerability) to significant hazards.
