The New Zealand Coastal Society (NZCS) gives multiple scholarship awards each year for research papers, work, or projects that contribute to the betterment of New Zealand’s coastal resources and society’s aims.

The New Zealand Coastal Society is giving these awards to professionals, students working on their Masters or PhD degrees, those from Maori and Pacific Island descent, or a research topic with Maori and Pacific Island focus within the coastal environment, undergraduate students 3rd-year level.

NZCS will also sponsor students to attend the Australasian Coasts and Ports Conference, a premier conference covering Coastal Processes, Port and Maritime Engineering, etc.

NZCS will base the award on the quality of the abstract submitted.
